Sterling Medical is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the White River Junction VA Medical Center. This position supports our mission of providing high-quality care to our nation’s Veterans. Location: White River Junction VA Medical Center:215 N. Main Street, White River Junction, VT 05009. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Current ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Duties: Prepare and administer contrast materials under radiologist supervision for a variety of diagnostic exams, ensuring patient safety and monitoring for adverse reactions.

Perform and complete radiologic imaging studies (STAT, urgent, pre-op, and routine) following established guidelines.

Accurately review and interpret radiology orders, verify patient information, and enter/update data in CPRS and other imaging systems.

Record radiation doses for fluoroscopy exams and ensure proper documentation in Vista and/or dose summary reports.

Produce high-quality radiographic images while minimizing radiation exposure and adhering to repeat/reject standards.

Operate radiologic equipment safely and efficiently; troubleshoot minor issues and report malfunctions promptly.

Coordinate exam schedules, prioritize patient needs, and assist with inpatient and emergency cases to support timely care.

Perform procedures using sterile techniques and follow all infection control and safety protocols.

Use independent judgment to adjust exam techniques based on patient condition or body habitus; consult radiologists when nonstandard exams are needed.

Maintain accurate electronic records, ensure all images and documentation are correctly labeled, scanned, and stored in PACS.

Properly identify patients using required identifiers and ensure all imaging markers and documentation are accurate.

Follow radiation safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and self.
