About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced
Fractional Chief Information Officer (CIO)
to provide strategic technology leadership and guide the organization through ongoing digital transformation efforts. This part-time executive role is ideal for a seasoned IT leader who excels at aligning technology with business objectives, optimizing systems, and building scalable processes that support growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute short- and long-term IT strategies aligned with organizational goals
Lead technology modernization initiatives, including infrastructure, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and data governance
Assess current systems, tools, and workflows to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
Oversee IT operations, vendor management, budgeting, and compliance
Provide leadership and mentorship to internal IT teams and cross-functional partners
Implement best practices for security, risk management, and business continuity
Drive technology innovation to enhance organizational performance and efficiency
Serve as a trusted adviser to executive leadership on all technology-related decisions
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including prior CIO, CTO, or senior director roles
Proven success leading digital transformation and modernizing IT environments
Strong background in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), cybersecurity frameworks, and enterprise technology roadmapping
Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and vendor/contract management
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive cross-functional collaboration
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred
