Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded. Update financial data in databases for accuracy and immediate availability. Pull daily bank transactions and provide positive pay information to the bank. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules. Assist with month-end close functions and collaborate with senior accountants on monthly/yearly closings.
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant Role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of general ledger accounting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
