Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Staff Accountant

to join our corporate accounting team. The

Staff Accountant

will report directly to the Director of Corporate Accounting and work closely with senior accounting professionals to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a

Staff Accountant , you will: Prepare and record journal entries for the corporate general ledger. Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations. Generate and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. Approve accounts payable invoices using the company's approval software. Process voided checks and invoices and assist with payment adjustments. Initiate and manage wire transfers through the bank's online platform. Assist in preparing annual budgets and updating weekly operating forecasts. Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies. Take ownership of assigned areas and proactively identify process improvements. Perform additional accounting projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal

Staff Accountant

will have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in a medium-sized publicly traded company preferred. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in financial ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills; familiarity with MS Word. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Exposure to variance analysis and forecasting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt and perform under pressure during peak periods.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $80,000-$90,000 plus bonus, based on qualifications and experience. Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Full-time, permanent position.

Work Environment

The

Staff Accountant

role currently operates in a hybrid model, with four days in the office and one day remote per week. Candidates should be comfortable working on-site as needed to learn processes and collaborate effectively. Flexibility may evolve over time.
