What the Staff Accountant will do:
Assist with month-end close, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations
Maintain general ledger detail and ensure accuracy of financial information
Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
Work closely with the accounting team to streamline workflows and improve reporting processes
Assist with analysis of variances, spending trends, and operational performance
Help prepare documentation for internal and external audits
Support the accounting function during acquisitions, including data gathering and financial organization
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as needed
What the company needs in a Staff Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1-3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience both welcome)
Strong understanding of GAAP, journal entries, and reconciliations
Solid Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally
Self-starter who can manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
