Security Technical Program Manager II, Stores AppSec
Amazon Application Security is looking for a security‑focused Technical Program Manager who wants to make a difference and support Amazon builders to ensure that protecting customer data is at the forefront of all development.
Our team approaches security challenges with empathy and curiosity to help Amazon builders identify areas of improvement. We focus on enabling builders to provide secure, trustworthy experiences without compromising customer experience.
In this role you will work directly with security teams and Amazon builders, providing front‑line support and security expertise.
You’ll challenge your background in technical product ownership, process development, operational and management skills, project management, critical thinking, relationship‑building, and problem‑solving. You must be self‑directed, open to challenges, adept at prioritization, innovation, and collaboration.
Key job responsibilities
Plan, organize, and manage all phases of the project lifecycle ensuring successful delivery.
Collaborate with internal customers (senior business leaders, development teams, application security engineering teams and other partner security teams).
Architect and manage internal scope of work documents with the customer clearly defining success criteria and timelines.
Build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders and security teams.
Guide the evolution and adoption of internal security support solutions, prioritizing the work most beneficial to Amazon builders.
Use knowledge of software system design to scope architecture, review associated threat models, and educate customers on potential severity of findings.
Define and implement best‑practice methods, processes, tools and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at scaling processes.
Own the creation and delivery of business proposals and metrics.
Proactively identify and manage program risks.
Work effectively and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
Influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts to achieve results through others who are not direct reports.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management.
Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of working directly with engineering teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
