Base pay range $20.00/hr - $22.50/hr
Join our DYNAMIC team at Bickford Senior Living as a Happiness Coordinator! The Happiness Coordinator is responsible for all things FUN at the Branch, coordinating and providing engaging and purpose-filled events and activities.
This position offers a full suite of benefits options that vary based on employment status. Some of the benefits include, but are not limited to:
Full-time employees are eligible for all benefits (medical, dental, vision, and voluntary products)
Part-time employees (29 or fewer hours per week) are eligible for Voluntary Life, Voluntary Short-Term Disability
Benefits start the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment (*full-time employees*)

All employees are eligible for 401(k) with employer match
Pay available daily
Must have a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record check**
Responsibilities
Plan and implement activities in the following categories: physical (exercise), social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, and special requests of the residents.
Conduct/lead activities as needed.
Develop activities according to residents’ lifestyle choices.
Invite and/or remind residents to participate in planned activities.
Chaperone activities outside the community.
Operate a Bickford vehicle to transport residents to activities where applicable.
Train, support, and instruct other team members to conduct activities.
Develop a Monthly Activity Calendar that incorporates activities 7 days per week and includes evening and weekend activities.
Plan, coordinate, and implement decoration of the community for special events, seasons and holidays.
Coordinate food needs for scheduled activities with the kitchen.
Operate activity program within Branch budget guidelines.
Qualifications
High-school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in recreation or other health care related field preferred.
A Certification in Assisted Living Activities is preferred but required.
Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications.
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
Competent in organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
A valid driver’s license and a driving record consistent with Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines.
