Responsibilities
Design and develop high-speed network technologies at ByteDance.
Build software and tools to improve the reliability and availability of high-speed network infrastructure.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent, with two or more years of work experience.
Good development experience with at least one of Golang, Python, C++ and familiarity with distributed systems design.
Solid understanding of Linux network stack and experience with Linux TC, iptables, and eBPF.
Hands‑on experience working in Linux environment.
Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and other common networking protocols.
Good understanding of network devices and network technologies.
Passion for high-speed IP networking, hardware‑software interaction, and hardware offloading technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with RDMA/RoCE network protocol.
Experience developing software systems for large-scale data center networks or distributed systems.

Job Information Compensation: Base salary range $187,040 – $438,000 annually. The role may also include discretionary bonuses, restricted stock units, and other benefits.
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision; 401(k) with company match; paid parental leave; short- and long-term disability coverage; life insurance; wellbeing benefits; 10 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 17 paid personal days (prorated upon hire).
