Data Solutions Architect
Our customer is looking for a full‑time Data Solutions Architect to join their team!
Our person will provide data architectural expertise across the data domain by establishing technical data architectures and performing data integrations for relational, non‑relational, multi‑dimension solutions. Design, document, and communicate technical data solutions with the understanding of the holistic view for the enterprise.
Drives the advancement of data architecture, tools, and quality efforts by mentoring fellow IT colleagues and collaborates with business stakeholders via demos, presentations, workshops, technical talks, design reviews and documentation.
Manages risks associated with data and technical assets through the development, use and promotion of the appropriate standards, security, privacy, and governance policies.
Collaborate and design effective data architecture solutions that meet immediate project requirements and also align with the strategic vision, delivering a coherent, reusable, reliable and phased architecture to help the business grow (40%)
Conduct architecture design reviews of enterprise application solutions across all aspects of solution design including infrastructure and distributed deployment, information/data architecture, integrations. Ensure solutions are fit for purpose and closely align with architectural guidelines (20%)
Translate business strategy and vision into a data strategy through partnerships with key business stakeholders (15%)
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical and architecture roadmaps, data architecture documentation, templates, standards, guidelines, and materials that support data governance and quality efforts (15%)
Partner with Security and Privacy teams to ensure data is secure and in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, Data Privacy and data retention policies (10%)

Advanced skills in SQL development and comfortable designing, writing, and maintaining complex SQL based ETL, which includes building large‑scale batch and real‑time data pipelines.
Well‑versed in designing data models and data management strategies to support analytical and modeling applications as well as Analytical and Data Science teams.
Strong background in data warehouse concepts and designs; ETL, Star Schema, Multi‑Dimensional databases, Cloud computing, ideally Azure or (but not limited to); AWS, Redshift, Lambda, Cassandra; Familiar with at least one scripting language (PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash).
Strong data management and processing skills, including experience with Relational and Non‑relational data stores (NoSQL, S3, Hadoop, etc.).
Ability to adjust designs to meet project objective and timelines while maintaining the vision and goals of solid database design principles.
Expert in eliciting solid data element descriptions and definitions and with physical data modeling tools and proficient in at least one (e.g., Erwin). Experience with SOA, Service Bus technologies, and other data abstraction tools and access layers.
Strong communication skills, both in written (technical documents, Jupyter notebooks) and spoken (meetings, presentations) forms. Efficiently work and produce results within the structure of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Demonstrate commitment to meeting organizational, department and team goals and objectives. Familiar with the DevOps, data pipeline and sharing code repositories with tools such as GIT.

Pay range: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year. Annual bonus will be discussed upon offer. Colleagues are eligible for a holiday bonus of 2.5% of their annual salary.
Benefits include 401(k) with 100% company match on the first 6% of contribution during the first five years of service, and up to 8% match when contributing at least 10% after five years.
