We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager for our multifamily properties. The Assistant Property Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Property Manager in day‑to‑day operations, resident relations, and administrative tasks to ensure the success of our vibrant residential communities.
Essential Job Functions
Liaise between ownership and residents, including drafting and distributing resident communications
Foster positive relationships among residents, management, and building staff
Attend designated weekly/monthly meetings, manage all aspects of lease administration, including data entry into property management software, calendar management, and code processing for accounts payable and receivable
Maintain office files, inventory, and compliance of storage, bicycle, and fitness agreements
Prepare monthly reports, ensuring delinquency is below 0.5% of GPR
Coordinate Move In/Move Out schedule, collect insurance certificates, and process Move Out Reports and security deposit refunds
Support Resident Manager with post‑move‑out walk‑throughs, vendor coordination, and contract reviews
Assist Property Manager with budget forecasting, building‑related events, and emergencies
Provide after‑hours on‑call support when required and communicate issues to the Property Manager
Analyze income and expense patterns, participate in budget forecasting, and provide support in code processing and filing
Collaborate with property management on renovations, vendor coordination, and lease enforcement
Maintain competitive marketplace intelligence, supervise resident retention programs, and be available for emergencies
Must be present on‑site, with the ability to move throughout the building, ensuring effective communication with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors
Ability to ascend and descend stairs and be comfortable with exposure to varying environmental climates and circumstances
Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, real estate, or finance is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of multifamily or assistant property management experience
Proficiency in navigating computers and property management software, including Microsoft Office, On‑Site, and Yardi
Technical knowledge of building operations and maintenance
Understanding of marketing trends, budgeting, and reporting
Valid NYS real estate license or ability to obtain one within the first 120 days of employment. All active license holders must register their license with Rose Associates upon hire
Must be available to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). The current schedule for this position is Sunday through Thursday.
In addition to base compensation, significant incentive pay and full benefits packages are available. Annual salary range - $65,000 - $75,000.
