Position Overview AMT is seeking a Transportation Project Manager with 8‑12 years of experience to work in Towson, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland. The role is full‑time with flexibility to work from home 2‑3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multi‑discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, focusing on multi‑modal roadway projects.

Serve as liaison between clients and project teams, including external stakeholder agencies.

Manage all technical resources, including subconsultants.

Prepare task proposals, establish project pricing and budgets.

Develop project management plans, document monthly progress, maintain schedules.

Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations.

Provide quality control reviews of submittals and deliverables.

Mentor and train junior staff.

Assist with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics/renderings).

Support Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals.

Maintain positive relationships with co‑workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.

Required Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC.

8‑12 years’ experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation with past project management experience.

Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Time‑management skills and ability to balance multiple projects.

Ability to identify and resolve project risks and design challenges.

Enjoy building and motivating teams.
