Senior Consultant, Decision Support (Implementation)
As a Senior Software Implementation Consultant on our Decision Support (DS) team, you will be an expert at implementing the Decision Support suite of our software, StrataJazz®. Decision Support is rated #1 in KLAS and is known as the "gold standard" for understanding cost and margins. You will partner directly with and provide guidance to key team members and executive stakeholders at the largest health systems in the world.
Responsibilities
Independently implement significant components of StrataJazz® – Cost Accounting, Service Line Margin Analytics, and Episode Analytics across multiple customers.
Configure user requirements, validate functionality, build reports, develop workflows, and test features to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Break down complex problems and identify innovative solutions through analytics.
Articulate healthcare finance, hospital administration, financial management concepts, and financial statement analysis to executive stakeholders to gain credibility and trust.
Strategically communicate with all levels of the Strata team to manage issues, risks, and change, driving negotiation and influence to achieve action.
Lead customer meetings and trainings to ensure understanding of StrataJazz® features and functions.
Act as a strategic advisor, identifying efficiencies and process improvements that support operational improvement and strategic growth for clients.
Provide feedback to the product development team on enhancements, defects, and other issues.
Work in an Agile environment, applying effective methodologies for building high‑quality, feature‑rich software.
Mentor junior team members, offering training, coaching, and best practices.
Drive operational excellence within the Client Services team, suggesting and participating in investment projects.
Qualifications
Interest in, or experience with, cost accounting and healthcare finance.
Experience independently leading customers through complex projects focused on timelines and budgets.
Experience implementing and configuring software.
Strong communication skills to articulate clearly across all organizational levels.
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, IF Statements).
Preferred
Experience in healthcare consulting directly related to Decision Support.
Experience using SQL or relational database concepts.
Estimated Salary Range $90,000 – $115,000. Actual salary will be determined based on skill set and experience. Strata also offers discretionary variable pay programs and a comprehensive benefits package, including retirement, health, welfare, paid time off, parental leave, life and accident insurance, and additional voluntary and well‑being benefits.
Location Preferred: Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO. The role supports a hybrid environment with flexibility to work from home.
