Position Overview The primary scope of this position is to thoroughly analyze and underwrite assigned participation accounts and offers, along with the servicing of such assigned accounts. The position will assist the Directors in the analysis, servicing, and reporting of the loan participations. It will also require the individual to develop industry and peer group analysis, portfolio analysis, and other special projects as assigned.
Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities
Credit administration, financial analysis, monitoring and due diligence review of various financial participation packages and loan origination with district associations or commercial agency lenders.
Development of loan participation and correspondent banking relationships with other lenders.
Management and servicing of participation loan relationships as assigned and directed by supervisor, SVP Credit Analysis.
Assist in the development and closing of complex loans by assisting with analysis and negotiation of such credits.
Interpret, communicate, and provide guidance to associations regarding district lending policies and procedures.
Interpret and act upon various legal, title and other questions which may arise on loans.
Assist in administering and developing lending programs, and revising operating procedures relating to lending operations.
Assist other bank personnel in completing coordinated projects as assigned.
Skills This position requires skill and knowledge in credit administration, financial analysis, the use of various loan analysis software programs, accounting standards, credit policies, and procedures, as well as program and product development. Excellent computer, interpersonal, public speaking and communication skills are required.
A thorough knowledge of financial statement analysis, forecasting analysis, cash flow analysis, collateral analysis and payment performance in the areas of mortgage and commercial lending. Knowledgeable on credit and accounting standards, real estate appraisals, product and service marketing techniques and programs. Must be able to accurately identify, measure and manage risk in loans, loan portfolios and direct loans. This position will require time management skills with travel up to 15 percent.

Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business administration or other related business field or commensurate experience. Experience and knowledge in the analysis of complex credits, negotiating and dealing with commercial type loans, and working with financial institutions in structuring and evaluating various loan participations, credit relationships, and analysis of direct loans.
