Job Summary This designation performs general accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. The role involves moderate-scope problem analysis within defined procedures, with judgment and guidance applied to determine appropriate action.
Essential Functions
Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual period close processes.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Maintain financial records and ledgers.
Prepare account reconciliations, cost reports, billings, bank reconciliations and other financial reports.
Prepare federal, state and other regulatory reports ensuring compliance with guidelines.
Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for posting approved financial transactions to the general ledger.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a work-related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex problems.
Ability to apply judgment and informed decisions.
Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple form to non-finance users.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including summarizing data and presenting results.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to manage, organize, prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
Team player and leader qualities.
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in the functional area.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to the functional area, including tax and financial reporting.
Pay Range Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $39.16 to $51.90
