Grafana Labs
Grafana Labs is a remote‑first, open‑source powerhouse. Over 20M users rely on Grafana for real‑time monitoring—from beehives to climate models in the Alps. More than 3,000 companies, including Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase and eBay, manage their observability strategies with the Grafana LGTM Stack, which can be run fully managed with Grafana Cloud or self‑managed with the Grafana Enterprise Stack, featuring scalable metrics (Grafana Mimir), logs (Grafana Loki) and traces (Grafana Tempo).
We’re scaling fast while staying true to our open‑source legacy, a global collaborative culture and a passion for meaningful work.
The Opportunity We’re hiring for our Platform InfraSec squad. This team owns the automation and decision‑making around our underlying cloud‑service‑provider (CSP) and compute security features for Grafana Cloud, including CSP IAM, Kubernetes RBAC, secret management and workload security.
You’ll write and ship code to simplify secure decision‑making for engineers, providing pre‑configured, secure templates and embedding security best practices into our development tools.
You’ll also help other engineers build secure products through security reviews and advisory.
What You’ll Be Doing
You enjoy working with engineers and with the management structures that support you, enabling your best work.
You are comfortable working in a remote‑first company; communication is key. We value collaboration, kindness, respect and consensus‑driven decisions.
You thrive in a distributed environment and bring experience with distributed systems.
You are eager to learn and grow, sharing knowledge and expanding your expertise.
You approach development holistically, owning the full life cycle—design docs, developer feedback, integration testing—and appreciate both the big picture and the fine details. The Platform team mainly works with Go, Python and Shell.
You have experience operating your code in production, helping build better platforms for our users.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Familiarity with CSP IAM and Kubernetes RBAC.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform, Crossplane or Helm.
Experience operating and managing workloads on Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM).
Bonus Points For
Working in or on open‑source/community projects.
Experience with multiple CSPs—AWS, GCP and Azure—using their managed Kubernetes services (EKS, GKE, AKS).
Familiarity with threat modeling, secure architecture reviews and security tabletop exercises.
Experience with Okta administration.
Compensation In Spain, the base compensation range for this role is EUR 82,988 – EUR 99,586. Actual compensation may vary by level, experience and skillset as evaluated during the interview process. All of our roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs’ success. Compensation ranges are country‑specific; recruiters will discuss your specific market’s defined pay range and benefits for different locations.
