Magnolia Companies New Construction division seeks a Mechanical Pipefitter 2. The candidate will be responsible for assembly and installation of piping and mechanical equipment for air, chemical, and water systems, and for related items such as steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Preferred applicants have at least 6 years of experience and an interest in new construction.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.

Read blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine layout of piping systems, pipe sizes, materials, and installation procedures.

Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, copper, and fiberglass pipes and pipe fittings.

Install and maintain pipe supports, valves, flow regulators, actuators, and control systems.

Test piping systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with specifications.

Troubleshoot and repair leaks, blockages, flow issues, and other problems in pipes and connected equipment.

Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on installed systems.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.

Pass a background check and drug test.

Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Pipefitter with familiarity in new construction installations.

Familiarity with industry‑standard, code‑compliant construction practices.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

3–5 years experience in commercial Pipefitting.

Proven experience with steel pipe fitting.

Proven ability to install mechanical equipment.

Proven ability to measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angles using hand or power tools, or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe‑threading machines, or pipe‑bending machines.

Residential experience will not be considered relevant.
