As we continue to grow our Bankruptcy & Restructuring group, we are seeking a senior-level attorney to expand our debtor-side capabilities. Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney with a focus on debtor representation and a portable book of business to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to take a leadership role in an established practice with the infrastructure and support to grow further. Responsibilities:
Represent businesses and individuals in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy matters
Manage litigation strategy, filings, motions, discovery, court appearances, and settlement negotiations
Advise clients on restructuring, workouts, and creditor negotiations
Collaborate with colleagues in litigation, real estate, and corporate law on related matters
Originate and manage client relationships; develop new business opportunities
Mentor and supervise junior attorneys or legal staff as appropriate
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in the State of New York
Minimum of 7 years of experience in bankruptcy law, with a strong preference for debtor-side focus
Demonstrated ability to handle matters independently from intake through resolution
Strong courtroom and client-facing skills
Portable book of business strongly preferred
