Head of Finance (Strategic Finance & Accounting) — Confidential SaaS Company
Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Base: $175,000–$200,000 + Bonus + Equity
We've partnered with a fast‑growing SaaS and data platform company that recently surpassed $10M ARR and is scaling toward $30M+. The business is preparing for its next stage of growth and future fundraising, and is seeking a Head of Finance who can own both strategic finance and accounting operations.
This role reports directly to the CEO and will lead a 4‑person offshore finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate is someone who can build scalable processes, strengthen financial rigor, and serve as a true business partner in a high‑growth environment.
Responsibilities Financial Operations & Controllership
Lead and mentor the offshore accounting team (close management, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition).
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage external accountants, auditors, tax partners, and compliance requirements across U.S. and India.
Strategic Finance & FP&A
Own budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and long‑range planning.
Develop and maintain board‑level reporting packages, including financial models, cash flow analysis, and KPI dashboards (G&A %, GTM %, R&D %, burn, runway).
Partner with department heads to build operating plans, track spend, and drive financial discipline across the business.
Systems, Processes & Controls
Implement scalable financial systems, policies, and internal controls.
Improve efficiency across AR/AP, payroll, expense management, and month‑end processes.
Lead annual audit preparation and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Support the CEO in preparing for future fundraising rounds (modeling, diligence materials, investor metrics).
Ensure investor‑grade reporting, data hygiene, and financial transparency.
Qualifications
8–12+ years of experience across
accounting, FP&A, or strategic finance , ideally in scale‑up SaaS or technology environments.
Strong command of
GAAP, SaaS metrics, forecasting, and financial controls .
Experience managing offshore teams strongly preferred.
Ability to operate at both strategic and hands‑on execution levels.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to executive leadership and the board.
CPA or related accounting background is highly beneficial.
