Field Service Engineer II - Lab Services - LC/MS - Boston-based
Primary travel will be Boston-based, 90% day trips in driving distance. Vehicle provided.
10% coverage of New England region requiring overnight travel.
Full Spectrum Lab Services from CBRE offers a professional suite of services to a variety of clients in the life sciences industry, including those in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, and genomics, as well as contract research organizations (CROs) and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
Our comprehensive range of services includes laboratory consulting, real estate services, instrumentation repair and maintenance, full asset management, and more—covering the entire spectrum of life sciences facilities. With expertise across various life sciences categories, CBRE is a leader in managing highly-regulated spaces within the industry.
What You'll Do
Perform installation, repair, PM and IQ/OQ/PQ services on analytical instruments (e.g., Agilent, Waters, Shimadzu) at various customer locations
Diagnose and troubleshoot operational problems on the following lab equipment (and/or equipment of similar complexity):
LC MS (primary focus of this position)
GC MS
Related peripherals, e.g., headspace & autosampler
Maintain relationship with customer
Complete service report on each service ticket completion
Train customers and other service representatives on maintenance tasks
Participate in the growth of the region and company
Identify business opportunities
Perform a variety of tasks in relation to FSG objectives
What You'll Need
Service experience and knowledge of LC/MS - Triple Quad and TOF strongly preferred
Experience with GC, HPLC, Purge & Trap, TOC, & GC/MS desired
Bachelor’s degree in science (chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology or similar) or equivalent lab experience
Knowledge of lab practices, standard concepts, and test procedures for analytical instruments
MS Office skills required
Ability to lift 50 pounds
A valid Driver’s License in good standing is mandatory
Ability to train others
