The Role As a Sr. OTA Engineer, you will integrate wireless technology into innovative consumer products through design, validation, and performance optimization. Working with cross‑disciplinary internal teams and external partners, you’ll drive on‑board wireless performance, including desense mitigation and OTA validation. Success requires both deep technical expertise and collaborative skills to influence product definition, execution, and testing in our open, team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Hands‑on experience with OTA chamber calibration, correlation and lab setup in an R&D environment.
Develop OTA infrastructure roadmap based on product roadmap.
Work alongside the wireless platform development teams.
Perform full RF validation and optimization for all products in development.
Complete compliance pre‑screening and support the compliance team throughout all regulatory testing.
Root cause/debug RF issues and identify solutions.
About the Team Edge Technology Integrity (ETI) Organization is responsible for ensuring hardware and software quality of our devices across Wireless, Audio, Camera and Sensor technologies. We are not limited to meeting integrity per technology; we also meet system‑level performance and specifications when various technologies co‑exist in certain customer scenarios. We conduct competitor benchmarking and deliver key insights to technology teams, enabling us to anticipate market trends and drive innovation. We leverage and drive internal quality standards and international specifications, providing value across the organization and industry.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in RF/antenna testing and validation.
Extensive knowledge of wireless technologies including WAN, GPS, Wi‑Fi, LTE, and Bluetooth.
Proficient in using OTA test equipment and systems (MVG, ETS, R&S).
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in RF Engineering or related field.
Experience with wearable device testing and validation.
Familiarity with automated test systems and scripting.
Experience in consumer electronics product development.
Expertise in OTA performance testing and validation methodologies.
Knowledge of test equipment calibration and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with aGPS/GNSS testing protocols and standards.
Ability to analyze and correlate test data from multiple sources.
