Description Direct the Finance Department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, asset protection, and compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act. Manage staff, oversee cash flow, budgeting, audits, and revenue projection.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the Finance Department, including financial management of cage operations, casino revenue, drop team operations, accounting, and asset accounting.
Ensure financial reporting is completed accurately and efficiently and protect all company assets.
Direct, manage, and develop an effective staff by hiring, training, scheduling, rewarding, and disciplining staff, and maintaining positive morale and employee relations.
Direct short‑term and long‑term cash flow, prepare annual budgets, and implement company and departmental policies and procedures.
Direct all internal and external audits and ensure their timeliness and accuracy.
Manage company expenditures and cash flow.
Manage revenue projection and expenses to ensure profitability.
Encourage staff to consistently demonstrate a general awareness of payroll operations and inform supervisors of any concerns.
Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies, and Colorado Limited Gaming regulations.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance; be punctual and consistently present during scheduled work hours.
Meet with consultants and vendors to discuss financial planning and operations.
Maintain alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and general awareness of casino operations.
Perform other duties, including special projects as needed and directed.
Qualification Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge and experience directing or managing finance and accounting operations.
Demonstrated experience managing employees in finance and accounting functions.
Demonstrated experience meeting specific deadlines or working under pressure.
Demonstrated experience in problem‑solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
Education and Experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education and experience.
Five (5) or more years of recent and related accounting experience, including two (2) years of managerial experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
A Certified Public Accountant designation is desired.
Other Skills/Abilities
Ability to troubleshoot.
Effective at delegating assignments.
Ability to coach and train employees.
Extensive knowledge of accounting and finance operations.
Compensation and Benefits $145,000 - $170,000 annually, based on experience.
