Research Scientist (Post Doc Research Fellow)
Perform original research at the intersection of AI/ML and cybersecurity, and disseminate the findings through publications in leading conferences and top‑tier journals. Full‑time (40hrs/week).
Job Purpose Develop, design, and evaluate integration of robust AI/ML and game theory for cybersecurity and resiliency in emerging networked systems such as cyber‑physical systems, IoT, and other connected civilian and military applications.
Responsibilities
Conduct fundamental and experimental research, data collection, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
Develop high‑impact research articles/manuscripts for publication in selected conferences and journals.
Coordinate and ensure development of pertinent reports and their timely delivery.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator, including research training and mentoring.
Core Competencies
Ph.D. degree with research experience demonstrated through publications or patents in cybersecurity, AI, and machine learning for autonomous systems.
Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Programming experience and fluency in one or more programming languages/ML tools such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, MATLAB.
Computing experience and knowledge, including software packages such as LaTeX, word processing, database applications, and spreadsheet.
Competence in oral and written English, ability to articulate concisely.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team‑oriented interdisciplinary environment.
Minimum Requirements
Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
