Senior Chemical Process Engineer
Senior Process Engineer plays a key role in designing, scaling up, and optimizing chemical manufacturing processes from laboratory development through pilot and full‑scale production. Working within the Global Process Engineering team, this position provides advanced expertise in chemical engineering and process development, with a strong focus on reaction chemistry, process control, and P&ID creation. Acting as a technical leader, the role supports global initiatives and ensures efficient, cost‑effective, and high‑quality process implementation.
Base pay range $100,000.00/yr – $140,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Lead the design and scale‑up of chemical processes from lab to commercial scale, emphasizing reaction chemistry and process control.
Develop and maintain accurate P&ID diagrams for new and existing systems.
Plan, execute, and analyze pilot‑scale studies to drive process improvements and implement new technologies.
Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless technology transfer and manufacturability of new products.
Apply deep chemical engineering knowledge to create safe, scalable, and sustainable processes while improving efficiency and reducing costs.
Troubleshoot processes and equipment, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 8 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, including process development, scale‑up, or production.
