Position Summary
In this role, you will manage and support multiple pre‑construction energy storage projects. The position is responsible for coordinating cross‑functional teams, developing technical project scopes, optimizing project feasibility, and ensuring projects are ready for a seamless transition into the construction phase. This role requires strong organization, communication, and project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee pre‑construction activities for multiple energy storage projects at varying stages.
Coordinate highly matrixed project development teams to ensure resources and priorities align with overall project schedules.
Collaborate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, and interconnection teams to ensure all project variables are fully captured and integrated.
Support development teams with jurisdictional requirements and documentation.
Lead the development of technical scopes for assigned projects.
Optimize project variables to improve technical and financial feasibility.
Provide technical attributes to engineering teams for design development.
Coordinate with engineering, estimating, and procurement groups to ensure accurate project inputs.
Support origination and development teams during PPA and GIA negotiations.
Supply cost and technical inputs for financial model development.
Regularly assess market data to confirm the financial model remains accurate and competitive.
Present financial models to internal stakeholders and guide the model through executive budget approvals.
Competitively source, negotiate, and execute contracts for critical services including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction.
Identify project risks and support mitigation planning.
Deliver clear, consistent updates on project status, risks, and progress to various levels of management.
Ensure that projects transitioning to construction are packaged with complete and executable construction plans.
Other Responsibilities
Travel to project sites as required (up to 25%).
Uphold and represent the organization’s interests throughout the development cycle.
Education Requirements
Associate’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field required.
PMP certification preferred.
Experience & Skills
0-5 years of experience supporting or managing project execution, including contractor and vendor coordination.
Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with project management tools and processes.
Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
