Job Description SAIC seeks a cleared (Secret) System Engineer to support Project Overmatch. The role provides high‑quality engineering support services, systems engineering, and systems integration for assured Command and Control capabilities for our DoD Navy Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) customer. This is a recently awarded, five‑year contract. Work is performed on‑site in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

Integrate a variety of network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.

Oversee the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.

Manage the development cycle for resilient software, hardware, and web applications, including specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance.

Qualifications Required Education, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree) or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience.

Three (3) years of experience as a systems engineer.

High comprehension of software architecture, requirements‑driven design, and test/behavior‑driven development.

Active Secret clearance.

Desired Experience

Experience identifying risks associated with development and implementation of architectures for RDT&E projects.

Experience providing functional knowledge and technical support for enterprise architecture to support MBSE, including data structures for Systems Modeling Language (SySML) and integration with current data models and tools.

Experience monitoring and tracking as‑is architectures, including fielded and programmed architectures for programs, projects, and interfaces.

Experience monitoring, maintaining, enhancing, and managing system operations and administration for modeling and simulation tools, architecture tools, and data repositories within the Naval Integrated Modeling Environment (IME).

Experience developing target architectures for platforms, enclaves, and systems based on Defense in Depth Information Assurance Functional Architecture (DFIA) using MBSE.

Experience developing roadmaps for S&T and providing forecasted systems and capabilities for integration into forward‑looking views of the Navy’s Enterprise Architecture.

Experience reviewing acquisition engineering documentation (DoDAF artifacts, SEMs, cybersecurity strategy, SLCM strategy, security accreditation plans, SDS, HSI plans, test and quality assurance plans, IV&V plans, SDSM, SDMP).

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
