Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Oversee and review a wide range of tax filings—including individual, business entity, gift, and nonprofit returns such as Forms 1040, 1065, 1041, CA 565/568, 571L, 5227, as well as international filings.

Serve as the signing reviewer on tax returns, assuming full accountability for accuracy and compliance.

Conduct tax research on complex issues and prepare clear, well-supported memos outlining conclusions and positions.

Demonstrate advanced proficiency with tax preparation and compliance software.

Apply in-depth knowledge of tax regulations to develop strategic planning recommendations for clients.

Review work completed by Senior Associates and ensure deliverables are prepared at a partner-ready level.

Begin establishing yourself as a subject matter specialist within designated technical areas.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, including communicating with federal and state agencies under Power of Attorney when needed.

Manage daily client interactions, ensuring strong relationships and a high level of service satisfaction.

Offer forward-thinking, practical solutions and insights to clients.

Collaborate closely with engagement partners and team members to deliver high-quality work aligned with client expectations.

Lead engagements with a focus on efficiency, profitability, and timely completion.

Build and strengthen relationships with clients and key external advisors.

Mentor and support Interns, Staff, and Senior Accountants through coaching, training, and performance feedback.

Demonstrate initiative in your own professional growth and continued career development.

Qualifications

At least 6 years of public accounting experience, ideally with experience supervising or managing staff.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Active CPA or EA certification required.

Familiarity with tax technology platforms such as CCH/WK, ProSystem Tax, Engagement, or fixed asset systems is beneficial.

Background in preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and S-corporation returns preferred.

Multi-state tax experience is a plus.

Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
