Area Vice President, Orthopaedic Sales (West)
We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Area Vice President, Orthopaedic Sales to lead our growth across the US West territory. This is a senior leadership role where you will shape the future of orthopaedic solutions by driving performance, developing talent, and building strong customer relationships in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. Responsibilities
Lead and execute the territory business plan to achieve or exceed sales and market objectives across Recon, Robotics, and Trauma divisions.
Drive sales leadership and alignment with regional strategy, positioning your team for success in meeting delivery expectations.
Manage and develop a diverse team of Sales Leaders and Professionals (W‑2, 1099, and distributors), ensuring high performance and career growth.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring expectations are exceeded and satisfaction remains high.
Analyze market trends and competitive activities, adapting strategies to maximize market share and profitability.
Oversee territory expense budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met through pricing strategies, margin improvement, and asset productivity.
Partner with cross‑functional teams (Medical Education, Marketing, Logistics, Sales Operations) to support territory goals and enhance execution.
Champion compliance and training, onboarding new talent and driving continuous development for 100% compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Product Development, or Business Management.
Minimum 8+ years of sales and sales management experience in the medical industry, preferably orthopaedic.
At least 5 years of leadership experience managing multiple levels of sales teams.
Proven success in achieving sales objectives across varied distribution structures.
Experience managing W‑2 employees, 1099 workers, and distributor relationships.
Strong business acumen with prior P‑&L exposure and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
Ability to travel 50–75% across the US.
