BJC Medical Group is seeking a board‑certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician for a teaching hospitalist position at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, the largest community‑based hospital within the BJC MedicalGroup. Position Highlights
Teaching position
Oversee a team of two interns
Seven maximum patient census per intern
12‑hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Closed, 30‑bed ICU
EMR: EPIC
Preferred Experience
Teaching beyond residency
2–5 years of hospitalist medicine experience
Compensation & Benefits
$285,000 yearly base compensation
$30,000 sign‑on bonus
$100,000 student loan repayment
Tenure bonus starting year three
Quality bonus – paid yearly
Comprehensive benefits including malpractice coverage (with tail provided)
Relocation reimbursement available

Preferred Qualifications As a physician, you will provide professional medical services within the practicing specialty, delivering direct patient care and performing related duties such as completing medical records, providing MyChart consultations and inbox management, conducting patient‑specific education, and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.
Responsibilities
Manage the medical care of patient panel by providing or arranging inpatient hospital care, through regular rounds or coordinating with other qualified physicians.
Collaborate with patients, families, and the care team to ensure excellent patient care outcomes across designated clinic locations and outreach sites.
Perform and document medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital staff bylaws.
Provide or arrange call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in accordance with BJC policies and medical staff bylaws.
Collaborate and teach advanced practice providers, support staff, or any care team member assigned to your patient panel.
Maintain constant alertness and work safely, as this is a safety‑sensitive position.
Minimum Requirements Education:
Doctorate in Medicine.
Experience:
No supervisor experience required; preferred 2–5 years in hospitalist medicine.
Licenses & Certifications:
Board‑eligible or board‑certified in the practicing specialty; licensed physician.
