Pediatric Hospitalist Needed in Thriving Southeast Metro

Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is seeking two full‑time BC/BE pediatric hospitalists to join our team. Our team consists of 9 hospitalists and 11 nurse practitioners and is supported by excellent pediatric sub‑specialists.
About the Hospitalist Group The hospitalist group cares for children on the pediatric floor with two teams covering an average daily census of 25‑30 patients. Primary management of patients on the pediatric floor, consulting and collaborating with pediatric sub‑specialists, and caring for newborns in the well baby nursery (no delivery attendance required) are key responsibilities of this position. Physicians also have the opportunity to teach family medicine residents and medical students from the University of Alabama—Birmingham.
Position Details This is a full‑time position working approximately 14 shifts per month.
Qualifications
Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
Eligibility for medical licensure in Alabama.

About Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is a stand‑alone facility dedicated to caring for women, infants, children, and adolescents. It is the only one of its kind in the region with a 16‑bed Pediatric ER, an 11‑bed PICU, and a 40‑bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit.
