The Warehouse Manager oversees team and drives performance across warehouse in distribution with responsibility for safe and efficient operations. Utilizing your understanding of warehousing and distribution services you will ensure the warehouse maintains flexible, innovative service that exceeds customer’s requirements by delivering a best‑in‑class operational culture through strategic development and continuous improvement of your areas of accountability. You will direct the warehouse operation teams to ensure fulfillment schedules and customer target dates and deadlines are met, and accurate and timely updates are made to the ERP system.
Responsibilities
Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
Manage and drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that will enable organizational vitality
Ensure maximum utilization and efficiency of available resources
Develop and manage a high performing team and a culture of excellence. Instill a sense of urgency and accountability
Carry through the responsibility for regular management updates that affect both positively and negatively the overall health of the organization.
Assist in preparing and maintaining SOP’s and ensure that all policies and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
Engage with and coach warehouse teams to ensure proper actions being taken to improve process results
Define decision support/action‑based tools to proactively identify and act upon supply chain issues such as poor service levels, shipments from secondary warehouses and stock‑outs
Maintain overall facilities and maintenance of Brockton building, both internal and external through strong relationships with external contractors.
Maintain PIT equipment and ensure it is used in a safe manner in the warehouse by all certified employees.
Requirements Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a Logistics or Supply Chain discipline is preferred.
5+ years of work experience in Warehousing and Distribution environment is required
4+ years of management experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent knowledge and proven execution of warehouse and operational management
Business understanding of total supply chain/distribution/logistics concepts and ideas
Analytics skills, with experience in Microsoft applications to support those efforts
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate and work cross‑functionally to support multiple business units
Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize workloads with a structured, detail‑oriented, and methodical approach to working.
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Knowledge of SIOP process a plus
ERP experience a must.
This job operates in a warehouse/production floor environment. This role routinely operates all Warehouse equipment as well as office equipment such as laptop computers, and smartphones.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Ability to stand for long periods of time, handle the physical requirements of the position, including repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting. This would require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
