This position is based in Denver, Colorado and will be responsible for driving organizational performance across pricing, procurement, real estate, and enterprise growth initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the leader will oversee approximately $200–$250M in annual spend, develop long-term pricing and procurement strategies, optimize the company’s real estate footprint, and identify scalable growth opportunities across a 350-location portfolio of veterinary hospitals in the United States. The role requires an analytical, strategic, and execution-focused leader. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Pricing & Procurement Leadership
Lead the pricing and procurement function overseeing $200–$250M in annual spend with major pharmacy, lab, and distribution partners. Use deep analytical rigor to evaluate vendors, negotiate agreements, and drive incremental savings across ~350 hospital partners. Develop and execute a holistic procurement strategy that optimizes cost, value, and supplier performance. Establish a pricing strategy across products and services to ensure competitiveness, margin optimization, and alignment with market trends. Leverage analytics to evaluate pricing elasticity, positioning, and profitability across the portfolio. Real Estate Portfolio Oversight
Provide strategic and operational oversight of a 350-location real estate portfolio, including facility condition, investment prioritization, and capital planning. Manage the team responsible for real estate operations. Create a data-driven approach to determine where and how to invest capital to support growth, expansion, and asset optimization. Ensure physical assets are maintained and improved to support operational excellence and customer experience. Enterprise Growth & Operational Innovation
Identify, evaluate, and operationalize opportunities for incremental growth across the organization. Develop frameworks to assess new services, programs, and revenue-generating initiatives. Lead cross-functional execution plans to scale new offerings across clinics, including market selection, implementation, training, and performance tracking. Build the operational processes, SOPs, and measurement systems required to embed growth initiatives sustainably and consistently across the network. Partner with field leaders to drive business to clinics and expand service penetration. Strategic Planning & Board Engagement
Create and communicate the company’s 3–5-year strategic plan in partnership with the COO and executive team. Develop Board-level materials that clearly articulate strategy, progress, KPIs, risks, and outcomes. Regularly present strategic updates, performance results, and initiative tracking to the Board of Directors. Ensure disciplined execution against strategic objectives with transparent metrics and accountability. Leadership & Collaboration
Serve as a senior advisor to the COO and executive team, offering insight, analysis, and recommendations on enterprise priorities. Build and develop a high-performing team across pricing, procurement, real estate, and strategic growth. Foster cross-functional alignment with Finance, Operations, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution. Champion a culture of analytical excellence, operational discipline, and continuous improvement. Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in operations, pricing, procurement, real estate, management consulting, or strategic roles within a multi-site or service-oriented environment. Proven leadership overseeing large spend categories and vendor negotiations. Demonstrated experience building pricing strategies and leveraging analytics to drive decision-making. Experience managing multi-state real estate portfolios or large physical asset networks preferred. Strong executive presence with experience presenting to Boards or senior stakeholders. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. Ideal Candidate Attributes

The salary range for this opportunity is $210,000 - $250,000 annually. The Company offers competitive compensation along with medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
