Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I)

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Execute customer/vendor contract requirements and identify accessorial activity.
Ensure necessary documentation and communication with the customer.
Utilize the site inventory management system to:
Manage cycle counting, adjustment, and rotation programs.
Improve productivity and space utilization.
Maintain accuracy to floor and customer book.
Identify opportunities for technology enhancements of the site inventory management system.
Manage activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for associates.
Set clear performance expectations and ensure individual accountability.
Implement associate performance reviews, individual development plans, and succession plans as needed.
Ensure compliance with the site interaction matrix and standard operating procedures.
Communicate, administer, and enforce company policies (e.g., accounting, operational, safety, regulatory, administrative).
Participate in managing turnover among hourly and supervisory staff consistent with site turnover objectives.
Ensure associates and supervisory staff have proper access to necessary tools, managing availability and maintenance.
Operate within the agreed budget (P&L) for the site.
Coordinate collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor, and Exel contractual requirements.
Understand process performance versus target objectives, identify variance causes, communicate results, and implement necessary changes.
Ensure daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Execute workshop action plans, projects, and best practices for sharing and implementation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Develop and implement efficient workflows, labor plans, standardize processes, and introduce best practices.
Take proactive measures to uphold health and safety compliance.
Compile comprehensive reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity and accuracy metrics.
Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration.
Partner with Human Resources and site leadership to ensure a comprehensive hiring process of supervisors.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure the consistent and prompt fulfillment of customer orders.
Engage in a strong partnership with customers to proactively address concerns and achieve exceptional satisfaction.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
1+ years of logistics industry experience (required).
2+ years of supervisory or management experience (required).
Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management (preferred).

The Sr. Operations Manager role has a national salary range of $85,000–$100,000. For roles within California and Washington, the range is $85,000 to $110,000.
