Field Operations Manager / Director
to lead the delivery of third-party compliance and
field services
across multiple pipeline assets. This hands‑on operational leadership role oversees the day‑to‑day execution of compliance operations, manages a team of specialists and field technicians, and ensures consistent, high‑quality service delivery to clients operating under
PHMSA/DOT -regulated environments.
You will be responsible for operational excellence, client coordination, regulatory alignment, and continuous improvement of workflows and procedures. This role is ideal for an experienced pipeline operations or compliance leader who excels at developing teams, improving processes, and shaping service delivery to meet evolving industry expectations.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage a team of compliance specialists, coordinators, and field technicians
Provide mentorship, coaching, and ongoing development to support team performance and engagement
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and create career development plans
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Operational Oversight
Oversee day‑to‑day operations of third‑party compliance services, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely delivery
Develop and implement standardized workflows, SOPs, and quality control measures
Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to assess service performance and identify improvement opportunities
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address workflow challenges and implement effective solutions
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding field operations and compliance services
Build strong relationships, understand client requirements, and ensure exceptional service delivery
Support clients in designing and enhancing compliance programs tailored to their operational needs
Conduct recurring client meetings, reviews, and discussions to address issues, performance expectations, and upcoming work
Regulatory Compliance
Remain current on pipeline industry regulations, standards, and PHMSA/DOT expectations
Ensure all service delivery aligns with applicable regulatory requirements and best practices
Coordinate audits, inspections, and compliance assessments on behalf of clients, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting
Identify compliance risks and implement process improvements to reduce exposure and strengthen regulatory readiness
Who We’re Looking For
10+ years of experience in
pipeline operations, compliance management, or related midstream roles
Strong working knowledge of
pipeline regulations, industry standards, and compliance practices
Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross‑functional operational teams
Proven ability to drive operational efficiency through workflows, SOPs, KPIs, and process improvements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience assessing data and implementing corrective actions
Professional certifications in pipeline operations, compliance, or project management are desirable
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or equivalent work experience
