Riggs CAT The General Manager of Operations leads the dealer's power generation service business and operational execution across the territory. This role owns service strategy, aftermarket growth, safety, customer uptime, technician productivity, and financial performance. The GM ensures world‑class support of Caterpillar generator sets, switchgear, ATS, microgrids, and related power systems for industrial, commercial, telecom, data center, healthcare, municipal, and emergency standby customers.

This leader drives a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while developing people, optimizing service operations, and expanding long‑term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Culture Lead all service and operations teams including service management, field service, shop, parts coordination, project execution, warranty, and customer support.

Establish clear performance expectations and a high‑engagement, high‑accountability culture aligned with Caterpillar dealer standards.

Coach, develop, and retain top talent; build succession plans for key supervisory and technical roles.

Promote a "customer uptime first" mindset and model professional, ethical leadership.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit or smell. The employee is routinely lifting up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.

This position requires traveling to branch locations upon occasion to provide on‑site instruction.
