Ivy Energy is seeking a visionary and strategic SVP, Engineering to lead our technology strategy and execution. As a key member of the leadership team, the SVP, Engineering will be responsible for shaping our technological future, ensuring the security and scalability of our platform, and driving innovation in the dynamic energy landscape. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization. This role will report directly to the CEO.

Focusing on property owner revenue, regulatory compliance, and a data‑centric approach, Ivy’s platform simplifies solar energy and EV charging billing while delivering an outstanding tenant experience.
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (e.g., VP of Engineering, Director of Engineering, CTO)
Deep understanding of how to establish more shared engineering and product management standards, like team structure, size, and practices
Experience with security and compliance standards
Owned or overseen shipping ML in production
Experience supporting integration hubs; creativity in driving new solutions at the edge of what the internet supports
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have: Familiarity with the energy sector, particularly DER and energy policy
Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and own the company’s long‑term (1‑3 year) technology roadmap, aligning with business objectives and market opportunities, particularly within the DER (Distributed Energy Resources) and energy policy sectors.
Budget & Contracted Work: Take ownership of the technology budget and strategy for contracted development and technology partnerships.
Security & Compliance: Oversee all aspects of security and compliance related to our technology infrastructure and data.
Intellectual Property (IP) Development: Drive the identification, development, and protection of the company’s intellectual property.
Code Quality & Packaging: Govern and support the oversight of software quality, testing and change management processes.
Cross‑Functional Support: Provide strategic and technical support to the VP and C‑level leadership team on internal and external technology‑related needs.
Customer Support (P0): Offer support for the resolution of P0 customer‑facing technical issues.
