Radiation Therapist II

100 W California Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91105
Shift:
8‑hour days (Primary Shift: Days)
Time Type:
Full time
Pay Range:
$54.84 - $83.63 per hour (additional compensation possible)
Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, support the Physicist, Chief Therapist, or Manager in maintaining department quality and customer service standards.
Administer daily radiation treatments for cancer patients, positioning patients and adjusting equipment to deliver correct dose safely.
Document all necessary information for each treatment to ensure verifiable records.
Address patient concerns formally and maintain a neat, orderly work area.
Flexibility of hours may be required.
Education:
Associate’s Degree or graduate degree from an accredited AMA school of Radiation Therapy Technology.
Experience/Training:
Minimum of five (5) years as a Radiation Therapist, preferably in the area of assignment.
Licenses / Certifications
Required:
Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) issued by California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification issued by ARRT
Preferred:
Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Fluoroscopy Permit issued by CDPH
Skills:
Knowledge of computers, anatomy, physiology, linear accelerators, simulation, treatment planning, equipment operation, body mechanics, isolation procedures, and standard precautions.
