Position Overview Director of Business Development

at UOVO – Los Angeles, CA.

UOVO is the pinnacle of storage, management, and logistics for valuable art, fashion, and wine. We invite sales professionals who are passionate about art and logistics to help drive our growth nationwide.

In this role you will generate new business by cultivating relationships with collectors, artists, advisors, gallerists, and other industry professionals. You will work closely with our senior leadership to shape a consistent leasing and sales experience across all UOVO locations.

Core Responsibilities

Leasing specialized storage space to clients through lead prospecting, referrals, networking, meetings, and tours.

Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, demonstrating persistence, initiative, and a results‑driven approach.

Create, lead, and implement new sales and services opportunities and project‑based outreach initiatives; manage a campaign to expand UOVO clients across locations.

Develop leasing proposals, property presentations, and collateral for prospective clients.

Collaborate with the Business Management Team to draft Storage Agreements, Services Agreements, and other leasing documents; negotiate and finalize agreements.

Expand and refine a database of qualified leads; consistently track and report leasing progress and updates.

Establish and cultivate relationships with clients, intermediaries, and key industry partners.

Act as a brand ambassador (in‑person and virtually); represent UOVO at art and cultural events and other client‑facing occasions.

Collaborate with Business Development, Account Management, and Marketing to devise and execute strategic initiatives, including regional marketing opportunities.

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes of conduct.

Perform any other projects or tasks assigned by the manager.

Qualifications & Skills

Entrepreneurial, high‑energy individual with strong general business acumen and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.

Broad knowledge and experience with successful sales and marketing practices.

Proactive and solutions‑oriented, with excellent organizational and coaching abilities.

Superb communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal) and negotiation skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, drive conversations, and offer creative solutions.

Gifted at networking, establishing personal connections, and targeted lead prospecting.

PREFERRED

Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Experience in the arts, fashion or luxury sectors is valued but not required.

Compensation & Benefits Compensation:

$80,000–$100,000 per year + unlimited commission upside (base salary plus commission/bonus structure).
