About the Role We are seeking a Data Warehouse Manager I to lead and develop a team of Data Warehouse professionals, including developers, business analysts, QA, and support staff. This role involves managing day‑to‑day operations, overseeing data processes, and driving technical solutions to meet business needs. You will provide mentorship, facilitate training, and ensure quality and efficiency across all Data Warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor team members, holding regular one‑on‑one meetings to provide feedback and assist with goal setting.
Oversee onboarding and training processes for new employees.
Manage department workflows, including task creation, work distribution, and communication with users.
Collaborate with business partners to transition processes and reports into technical solutions.
Design, develop, and document processes to support Data Warehouse operations.
Communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Oversee data feeds and reporting processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
7-8 years of experience in data warehousing and ETL development.
Strong background in data warehouse, data mart, and dimensional modeling.
Hands‑on experience with ETL tools and development (Python preferred).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Exposure to cloud technologies (e.g., Azure).
Ability to coach and lead a team of 5‑6 developers and analysts.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with application development and data modeling.
Knowledge of insurance industry data and reporting processes.
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps principles.
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Work Environment & Perks
Hybrid schedule:
First 2 weeks: 100% onsite
Next 90 days: 4 days onsite weekly (Tues‑Thurs required)
After 90 days: Standard 50% onsite policy
