Job Description We are seeking a VP, Managing Director on the Capital One (COF) account who will drive media strategy for a major line of business with an approximate budget of $200MM, while providing senior oversight for key sub‑campaigns and non‑sports sponsorships. The role requires a strategic thinker who can inspire a team, build trusted client relationships, and deliver innovative integrated media solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the major line of business for COF, translating objectives into insight-driven media plans.
Collaborate with other VP, Managing Directors to align strategies across all COF lines.
Leverage expertise in traditional and emerging media platforms to architect comprehensive multi‑channel strategies.
Build and nurture client relationships across all levels, media partners, and agencies.
Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Strategic Business Team, ensuring high‑quality client deliverables.
Mentor direct reports to integrate strategic thinking into all recommendations.
Prioritize and adapt quickly to evolving client needs, balancing qualitative insights with quantitative support.

Strong writer, presenter, and communicator capable of conveying complex ideas.
Proven team leadership and people‑management skills.
Self‑starter who works independently and collaboratively.
Calculated risk taker with foresight to understand implications.

13+ years in media planning and strategy with a proven track record on large, complex accounts.
Experience managing and mentoring high‑performing teams.
Large‑scale budget management (>$100MM) and strong financial stewardship.
Deep expertise across traditional media (TV, Radio, OOH, Print) and digital landscape, including emerging platforms.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills for C‑level audiences.
Analytical thinker who synthesizes data into strategic narratives.
Thrives in a fast‑paced, multifaceted environment with agility and flexibility.
