Director of Faculty Affairs, Radiology – Veterans in Healthcare Boston, MA

Supporting the Department of Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians, this position is the administrative partner to the Executive Vice Chair for Workforce Strategy and Talent Acquisition in collaboration with the Chief Administrative Officer. The incumbent will administratively direct all aspects of physician recruiting, credentialing, privileging, enrolling, orienting, professional development and academic promotions processes within the Department of Radiology.

Act as the administrative partner to the Radiology Executive Vice Chair for Workforce Strategy and Talent Acquisition, coordinating the development of strategic provider recruitment/retention plans and implementing the Professional Affairs Strategic Plan.

Oversee recruitment, hiring, credentialing, visa requirements, licensing and onboarding processes (pre-employment drug testing, HMFP, ITS access) for domestic and international physicians.

Develop and maintain a sophisticated tracking mechanism to ensure staffing data by location reflects current/future state and hiring requirements are met.

Recommend sourcing strategies and manage relationships with recruitment administrators, HMFP, locum agencies and professional media outlets (e.g., LinkedIn).

Continuously seek opportunities to improve the recruitment process, including candidate sourcing and overall candidate experience.

Oversee and develop the administrative orientation process for all new physicians, ensuring a professional, respectful, and welcoming experience.

Coordinate onboarding and orientation details and collaborate with the Executive Vice Chair to create, facilitate, and evaluate development programs for professional staff, clinicians, educators, trainees, researchers, and leaders.

Manage the Harvard Medical School academic promotions process for faculty, including CV development and maintenance.

Oversee the annual 360° faculty evaluation process for the HMFP & APHMFP providers within the department and maintain a faculty database.

Prepare faculty reports on demographics, academic appointments, and other performance metrics.

Create reports on faculty salary equity, census, teaching efforts, and oversee annual training modules (Fit Testing, Flu shot, etc.).

Collaborate with Department Administrators on the OPPE & FPPE process and manage the observer process for the department.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.

5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar administrative role.

Pay Range

$135,200.00 USD – $184,995.20 USD
