Riverview Behavioral Health is a 62‑bed inpatient hospital treating individuals suffering from a mental health primary diagnosis from ages twelve and up. Our treatment center is located in Texarkana, AR serving the greater southwest Arkansas region. Riverview Behavioral Health offers a confidential, caring environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self‑awareness, social skills, and personal growth that is monitored in a safe environment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We are currently seeking to add a
Full‑Time, Inpatient Psychiatrist
to our skilled and patient‑focused team. This role will see both adults, and child & adolescent patients.

About The Role Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical services to patients at the facility.
Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, document services and information in a timely manner.
Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
One or more years’ post‑graduate degree practice preferred.
Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications
Board certification in psychiatry
Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
