The Role The Director of Investment Integration is responsible for ensuring the seamless transition of investment processes, philosophies, and portfolios from acquired firms into NorthRock’s investment platform. This leader will collaborate across M&A, advisors, and investment leadership to reduce friction, accelerate integration, and maximize cultural alignment. The role reports directly to the Vice President, Advice Strategy & Advisor, Personal Office®.
What You Will Do
Lead integration efforts by overseeing the transition of investment processes, committees, and portfolios from acquired practices into NorthRock’s investment platform
Translate incoming firms’ investment philosophies, portfolio construction methods, and client narratives into NorthRock’s frameworks
Develop and execute transition roadmaps that provide temporary portfolio solutions while long-term integration occurs
Partner with advisors and investment leaders from acquired firms to deeply understand their approach and guide them through integration with empathy and care
Deliver recommendations to the NorthRock Investment Committee on potential enhancements to processes based on learnings from acquired firms
Identify products or portfolio solutions that balance the needs of acquired firms with NorthRock’s core investment philosophies
Serve as the escalation point for integration-related investment issues, collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve challenges
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field required, MBA or CFA preferred
7–10+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio construction, or integration/transition management within financial services
Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolio transitions and committee processes
Strong understanding of asset allocation, portfolio theory, and investment product structures
Experience with portfolio management systems and tools such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, Black Diamond, RedBlack, or Salesforce preferred
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, client-ready messaging
Proven success working collaboratively across teams with empathy and diplomacy during times of change
Ability to balance detail-oriented portfolio expertise with big-picture strategic integration
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of a credit and criminal background check is required
The estimated base pay salary rate for this role is $160,000 - $215,000 per year. Base salaries are determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, depending on the role, many roles are eligible for variable pay such as bonuses, commissions, and/or long-term incentives.
Benefits include a company-funded ESOP, strong retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare/dental/vision coverage, and generous Paid Time Off (PTO).
