Director of Sales, Marketing & Events – Grand Hyatt at San Francisco International Airport
At Grand Hyatt at SFO, we create memorable experiences for travelers, ensuring a sense of belonging and hospitality worldwide. This role leads the hotel’s Sales & Marketing team, driving revenue, brand presence, and event execution.
Responsibilities
Oversee Sales and Marketing operations, including budget, P&L, and revenue forecasting.
Develop and implement advertising, marketing, and business plans, and conduct ownership‑level meetings.
Recruit, hire, train, and coach sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff.
Manage group and transient contractual agreements, quoting rates, referral processing, and account retention strategies.
Collaborate with GM and Regional Vice President of Sales to align on hotel goals and maximize revenue.
Lead event programs, ensuring alignment with hotel strategy and guest experience.
Qualifications
6+ years progressive hotel sales experience, preferably with Hyatt.
Proven success in high‑volume concepts and pre‑opening projects.
Strong communication skills across diverse cultures, disabilities, and ethnic backgrounds.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, and general computer proficiency.
Entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, and a proven track record of improving the bottom line.
