CARDIAC EP LAB REGISTERED NURSE
Job Title: RN – Cardiac EP Lab Rate: Up to $3050.00 weekly Location: Boston, MA Day Shift (10H) - (M-F) - (7A-5:30P) No Weekends or Holidays Qualifications & Requirements Education
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [state] (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Minimum of 1–2 years of dedicated Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience required.
Required hands-on experience with:
Cardiac devices (pacemakers, ICDs, etc.)
EP studies
Ablations
Pulmonary Vein Isolation (PVI)
Strong understanding of cardiac electrophysiology, arrhythmias, and cardiac monitoring.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity procedural environment.
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Experience
Two (2) to three (3) years in specialty required.
Licenses/Certifications
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
AHA BLS certification required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures including device implantation, EP studies, ablations, and pulmonary vein isolation (PVI).
Assist physicians during procedures by managing equipment, medications, and sterile fields.
Monitor patient hemodynamics, rhythm changes, and overall status throughout procedures, responding rapidly to emergent situations.
Administer conscious sedation and medications per protocol and physician direction.
Prepare patients for EP procedures, including assessments, education, and review of medical history.
Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, medications, patient responses, and outcomes.
Collaborate closely with electrophysiologists, anesthesia providers, technologists, and other team members to ensure smooth case flow.
Maintain knowledge of EP equipment, mapping systems, ablation technologies, and device programming tools.
Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines within the EP Lab setting.
Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development to maintain expertise in EP care.
