Cardiothoracic Surgeon | Leadership Role | Dayton, Ohio
Kettering Health seeks a mid‑career level cardiothoracic surgeon, interested in leadership, to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have at least 8‑10 years of experience. Prior leadership experience is preferred.
Kettering Health’s cardiothoracic surgery group is a leading practice in Dayton, Ohio. Our program conducts approximately 600 open heart surgeries and 180 thoracic cases annually. Our group focuses on cardiac and thoracic surgery. We also offer specialized programs, including TAVR, MitraClip for structural heart procedures, and ECMO. Anticipating LVAD/mechanical assist device program launching in 2027.
Job Requirements:
6‑year integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency or General Surgery residency followed by a 2–3‑year cardiothoracic surgery residency
Board Certification in Cardiac Surgery
U.S. Residency and/or Fellowship Required
H1B visa sponsorship available (No J1 visa sponsorship available)
Driven, collegial, and ambitious
Possess outstanding communication and leadership skills

Leadership responsibilities
Da Vinci Xi robot and Ion robot
APP support in clinic, surgery, and rounding
OR/Clinic
OR – 3-4 days; Clinic – 1 day
Clinic is located at hospital
Critical Care support – 24/7
EMR: EPIC
