Job Requirements
Former law enforcement or military experience preferred
College degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
3-5 years of security supervisor experience required
The Captain Ensures
All post orders are followed
Established rounds are completed
Required reports are filed accurately and promptly
Proper authorities and clients are notified in emergency situations
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Discipline: Coaches and disciplines personnel appropriately. Seeks guidance from company management or designated representatives as needed. Meets with employees to document coaching and disciplinary actions.
Training & Oversight: Trains Security Officers and other company personnel. Reviews post orders and assignment details with subordinates.
Payroll & Scheduling: Assists in payroll submission and personnel management. Ensures adequate coverage for all posts and positions in coordination with management.
Client Interaction: Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to ensure all security requirements are met and quality customer service is provided.
Reporting: Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
Post Inspections: Inspects posts and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
Supervisory Duties
Interviewing, orienting, and training employees
Planning, assigning, and directing work
Coaching and appraising employee performance
Rewarding and disciplining employees
Addressing complaints and resolving problems
Making hiring and termination recommendations
Other Duties May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policies.
