Responsibilities
Assisting in delivering youth programs, activities, and events, such as distributing program materials, tutoring members, etc., as directed by your supervisor. Assisting in supervising members in the program area and throughout the club to ensure member safety, report any disciplinary or other issues to your supervisor. Assisting members with program rotations and lining up for transitions, mealtimes, and other events throughout the club. Participating in collaborative programs and events with staff from other departments, clubs, and community organizations, as directed by your supervisor. Securing and maintaining materials, equipment, and other resources in the program area; maintaining a safe and clean program space. Providing additional support to Boston‑based clubs through the City of Boston’s Successlink Grant. Other related duties as specified by your supervisor. Position Requirements
Complete BGCA‑required training on topics including supervision of youth, recognizing child abuse, youth worker rights, behavioral expectations, social media, and internet safety. Participate in individual and group supervision sessions. Experience and/or interest in working with youth is preferred. Experience with or willing to learn Excel. City of Boston resident (required). Leaders must be between 19 and 24 years old as of October 21, 2024. General Expectations
