Abacus Plumbing Air Conditioning & Electrical
is currently seeking a Plumbing Division Manager to join our team comprised of creative and energetic employees, who are dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day. Our Plumbing Division Managers are tasked with managing daily field operations, employee training, retention, recruiting, safety, vendor meeting and ensuring the technicians are providing outstanding service to our customers.
The Plumbing Division Manager (PDM) role will support a group of field service plumbers (approximately 12 technicians). This is a uniformed position and the manager will be expected to spend 60% of their time in the field, and 40% in the office. The PDM will be responsible for the sales and quality control of their group. The PSM will also be responsible for granting time off requests but prior to granting such requests will consult with the other PSM to ensure minimum staffing levels are maintained.

Qualifications Do I Have What It Takes?
Lead and develop plumbing teams to achieve high standards of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
Apply in-depth knowledge of plumbing and process systems in both residential and commercial settings
Build business opportunities in both private and public sectors through strategic planning and relationship development
Oversee training initiatives, sales coaching, and performance tracking to drive department growth
Manage multiple priorities, set goals, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Maintain a strong understanding of plumbing design and material costs for accurate estimating and budgeting
Utilize dispatch and field service software; experience with ServiceTitan, UKG, Intact, and Asset Panda is a plus
Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Hold a valid Texas Plumbing License and a high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

Responsibilities What Will I Do?
Drive department sales through ongoing product and sales training for field technicians
Monitor technician performance metrics including average ticket, closing rate, and truck revenue; provide coaching and support as needed
Conduct regular team meetings to address challenges, share updates, and foster a culture of excellence
Review work orders for efficiency, material usage, and accuracy; manage inventory and purchases from suppliers
Collaborate with dispatch to optimize daily job assignments based on technician capabilities
Monitor and reduce callbacks through root-cause analysis and targeted training
Handle escalated customer concerns with a commitment to 100% satisfaction
Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts in partnership with HR
Assist with technician scheduling, timesheet approvals, and bonus/spiff calculations
Promote team morale through engagement initiatives and support disciplinary actions in coordination with management and HR
