Vice President of Hospitality (Operations) Moon River Ranch is a 550‑acre luxury resort and event property located along the Brazos River, just 20 minutes southeast of Waco, Texas. The ranch hosts a wide range of high‑end experiences—including family reunions, weddings, corporate retreats, and large‑scale events—across multiple venues such as an Event Center, Chapel, Lodge with 15 guest rooms, several individual guest houses, and a 10‑room hotel. The property also includes extensive operational facilities (laundry, equipment and tool sheds, maintenance buildings) and is home to a collection of ranch and exotic animals.

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Hospitality – Operations to lead all hospitality, service, and operational functions for this premier destination. This executive role is responsible for the overall performance of the resort, with the General Manager and departmental leaders reporting directly to the VP. The VP of Hospitality‑Operations will shape the guest experience, elevate service standards, optimize operational efficiency, and drive strategic growth while preserving the charm and character that make Moon River Ranch an exceptional destination.

Key Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership over all resort operations, including lodging, food & beverage, guest services, housekeeping, events, activities, and property grounds

Directly oversee, mentor, and support the General Manager, ensuring alignment with service standards, operational goals, and business performance

Build and develop high‑performing hospitality and operations teams; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence

Partner with sales and marketing to increase bookings, enhance brand visibility, and support revenue growth initiatives

Oversee property‑level P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

Implement and enforce safety, regulatory, and quality assurance standards across all departments

Identify and execute opportunities for service enhancements, operational innovation, and strategic partnerships

Lead long‑term operational planning, capital improvement discussions, and service expansion initiatives

Report regularly to ownership or executive leadership on performance, challenges, and future vision

Qualifications

Proven leadership experience in luxury hospitality, resort management, or multi‑venue event‑driven properties

Deep understanding of hotel, event, and property operations with a strong commitment to exceptional guest service

Demonstrated success managing and developing leadership teams, including General Managers

Strong financial acumen, including P&L oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management

Experience supporting or overseeing high‑end events, corporate retreats, and destination‑based hospitality

Ability to thrive in a high‑touch, service‑driven environment that demands discretion and professionalism

Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long‑term planning with day‑to‑day operational demands
