Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

We are seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager who is ready to take ownership of all major costing and inventory activities, including building and maintaining standard costs, handling valuation, managing variance analysis, and supporting the financial close. In this role, you will be involved in the day‑to‑day cost operations while also contributing to budgeting, forecasting, raw‑material costing, and pricing and margin analysis for finished goods. You will work closely with production data to identify and resolve variances, strengthen controls, and improve costing processes. You will also collaborate with teams across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and finance to keep reporting accurate and to ensure a smooth month‑end and year‑end close.
Responsibilities
Guide daily cost and inventory accounting workflows, maintaining perpetual inventory accuracy and up‑to‑date standard costs
Manage annual standards for materials, labor, overhead, and machine rates, adjusting as needed throughout the year
Analyze raw‑material costs and support margin and pricing evaluations for finished goods
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and detailed variance reviews across material, labor, overhead, PPV, scrap, and yield
Oversee closing activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports
Ensure proper cutoff for sales, inventory, receivables, and payables through coordination with operational teams
Maintain and improve the standard cost system and inventory records
Update commodity‑based raw‑material pricing and cost standards annually
Lead finished‑goods margin analysis incorporating material, labor, overhead, plating, and production metrics
Conduct cycle counts and scrap reviews, partnering with operations and engineering to investigate variances
Perform cost roll‑ups for new items and verify BOM and routing accuracy
Assist in developing and analyzing overhead cost pools for budgeting and standard‑setting
Identify inefficiencies and recommend cost‑saving opportunities
Support enhancements to reporting, processes, financial systems, and special projects
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and GAAP within a manufacturing environment
Strong background in raw‑material costing and standard‑cost methodologies
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
MBA or CPA preferred
Ability to evaluate complex operational and financial data and translate insights into clear recommendations
Strong communication skills and ease working cross‑functionally
Hands‑on, organized, and committed to ongoing process improvement
